FAT/SAT
MartinCSI engineers specialize in performing Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs). Prior to installation at the end user’s site, a FAT is performed to ensure that all equipment and/or software operates as intended and meets all the contractual requirements of the end user. During testing, software is manipulated to simulate production conditions. Problems found during the Factory Acceptance Test are corrected prior to installation which helps keep costs down and reduce possible impact on the project schedule.
A Site Acceptance Test (SAT) is performed once all equipment has been installed and wired at a customer’s site. The SAT verifies that the system is working in its operational environment with all process, field instrument, and external interface connections established.
