MartinCSI Renews CSIA Certification
MartinCSI is pleased to announce we have successfully renewed our CSIA “Certified Member” status for our third consecutive three year period. By passing an extensive audit, we have confirmed we have the necessary business practices and benchmarks in place to perform and complete the best job for our customers.
As a certified member, MartinCSI has proven performance against CSIA benchmarks in the following areas; General Management, Human Resources, Marketing and Sales Management, Financial Management, Project Management, System Development Lifecycle, Supporting Activities, and Quality Assurance Management.
The Control Systems Integrator Association (CSIA) is an organization committed to the business development of control system integration companies and their implementation of best practices in order to provide a healthy, low-risk channel for the application of technology to their industrial clients.
The CSIA’s Certified Member program is dedicated to improving its members’ business skills, enabling them to improve their delivery of system integration services to their clients and to serve as a stable, reliable, provider of leading-edge technology. To qualify, this program requires the system integration firm to pass an independent, third-party audit that measures their performance in seven critical business areas against the CSIA’s Best Practices and Benchmark Guidelines.
General Management
Includes standards in the areas of strategic management, organizational structure, facilities, equipment, and risk management.The system integrator must demonstrate that they have a proper business foundation for long-term survivability.
Human Resources
Includes standards for recruiting, training, administration, and employee communication.The system integrator must demonstrate that they have proper policies in place for finding the right personnel to complete the project.
Marketing and Sales Management
Includes standards in the areas of defining a scope of work, estimating and pricing policies, and allocation of liability and risk.The system integrator must demonstrate that they are capable of maintaining client relationships through the development and negotiation of contracts.
Financial Management
Includes standards in the areas of billing procedures, management of credit, expenses and cash, and financial planning. The system integrator must demonstrate their financial stability.
Project Management
Includes standards in contract management, scope management, schedule and budget management, and project planning and design.It demonstrates that the system integrator has the ability to properly plan and execute a project.
System Development Lifecycle
Includes standards in the areas of internal kickoff, design and development, factory acceptance testing, installation, commissions, and site acceptance testing.It demonstrates that the system integrator has a proper policy in place to follow a project throughout its duration to ensure project quality.
Supporting Activities
Includes standards in the areas of process development, standards and templates, project methodologies, and risk and configuration management.
Quality Assurance Management
Includes the standards to assure project quality, which demonstrates how customer service is met by the system integrator.
